About Face To Face Advice

Citizens Advice Greenwich provides free, independent, confidential and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We value diversity, promote equality and challenge discrimination.

Face to face advice is delivered through a mixture of drop-in sessions and appointments at our Woolwich bureau and at outreach sessions across the Borough. We provide both generalist and debt advice and casework.

Generalist advice sessions provide advice on issues including welfare benefits, Universal Credit, debt, housing, consumer, employment, immigration (basic issues only) and many other areas.

Our debt and money advice services can help with issues such as Council Tax debt, bailiffs, rent and mortgage arrears, housing benefit overpayments, credit and consumer debt and utilities debt.

The Help to Claim service provides support to people with Universal Credit claims, up until first payment.

All Face to Face Advice Sessions have been suspended until further notice

**Please note that the generalist advice sessions at Woolwich on Wednesdays and Thursdays do get very busy.  People are seen on a first come, first served basis, so although these sessions open at 10 am, you would be well-advised to get to the Woolwich office considerably earlier.  We may need to close these sessions early if we have reached our maximum number for the day, which is based on the number of staff that we have on duty on any given day.

Do you need a British Sign Language (BSL) intepreter?

BSL appointments are offered every first Tuesday of the month and are very limited. Please use the form below to request an appointment with a BSL signer.
